# Close Position

After you have opened a position, the trade might give you your desired profit or get close to your loss-bearing capacity, in that case, you might want to close the trade and get out. Following are the steps to close a position.

* **Select** a perpetual futures pair you want to close position for from the list of market pairs.
* From the position tab at the bottom, click the close position button.
* The system will show **details** of the position and a confirmation button.
* Click **confirm** button.
* Metamask will ask for transaction confirmation. Click **confirm** in Metamask.
* Within a few seconds, the transaction should be confirmed.
* Your position entry from the position tab will disappear and appear in **history** tab with all transaction details.
